 Best female actress: Leda Hodgson

in Talking Heads and Talking, Talking Heads, February 21 to March 11, Copake Theatre Company, Copake. British actress Hodgson delivered a bravura and very funny performance in two monologues, the first by Alan Bennett, the second by Nick Kidd. Hodgson commanded the stage partly through her sheer mastery of the language and partly through her completely relaxed and open stage presence. The evening was a rare and delicious treat for area theatergoers.

What can I say about the Brighton Festival?
Well, it was the wettest May for 50 years.
The wind was forty miles an hour and -
We were on the Beach!

"Horror, horror, horror"

However.

We had 3 world premieres, great reviews, fantastic Graffiti and won a prize.
All my thanks goes to the actors who stuck it out for 3 weeks.
